St. Luke 8: 4-15
4 And when a great multitude had gathered, and they had come to Him from every city, He spoke by a parable:
5 “A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it.
6 Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture.
7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it.
8 But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold.” When He had said these things He cried, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
9 Then His disciples asked Him, saying, “What does this parable mean?”
10 And He said, “To you it has been given to know the [b]mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is given in parables, that ‘Seeing they may not see, And hearing they may not understand.’
11 “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
13 But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of [c]temptation fall away.
14 Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.
15 But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.
ലൂക്കോസ് 8:4-15
4 പിന്നെ വലിയോരു പുരുഷാരവും ഓരോ പട്ടണത്തിൽനിന്നു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നവരും ഒരുമിച്ചു കൂടിയപ്പോൾ അവൻ ഉപമയായി പറഞ്ഞതു: വിതെക്കുന്നവൻ വിത്തു വിതെപ്പാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ടു.
5 വിതെക്കുമ്പോൾ ചിലതു വഴിയരികെ വീണിട്ടു ചവിട്ടിപ്പോകയും ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവജാതി അതിനെ തിന്നുകളകയും ചെയ്തു.
6 മറ്റു ചിലതു പാറമേൽ വീണു മുളെച്ചു നനവില്ലായ്കയാൽ ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയി.
7 മറ്റു ചിലതു മുള്ളിന്നിടയിൽ വീണു; മുള്ളുംകൂടെ മുളെച്ചു അതിനെ ഞെരുക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.
8 മറ്റു ചിലതു നല്ല നിലത്തു വീണു മുളെച്ചു നൂറുമേനി ഫലം കൊടുത്തു. ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു: കേൾപ്പാൻ ചെവി ഉള്ളവൻ കേൾക്കട്ടെ എന്നു വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.
9 അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനോടു ഈ ഉപമ എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതു:
10 ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ മർമ്മങ്ങളെ അറിവാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു വരം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ശേഷമുള്ളവർക്കോ കണ്ടിട്ടും കാണാതിരിപ്പാനും, കേട്ടിട്ടും ഗ്രഹിക്കാതിരിപ്പാനും ഉപമകളിലത്രേ.
11 ഉപമയുടെ പൊരുളോ: വിത്തു ദൈവവചനം;
12 വഴിയരികെയുള്ളവർ കേൾക്കുന്നവർ എങ്കിലും അവർ വിശ്വസിച്ചു രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടാതിരിപ്പാൻ പിശാചു വന്നു അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ നിന്നു വചനം എടുത്തുകളയുന്നു.
13 പാറമേലുള്ളവരോ കേൾക്കുമ്പോൾ വചനം സന്തോഷത്തോടെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവർ എങ്കിലും അവർക്കു വേരില്ല; അവർ തല്ക്കാലം വിശ്വസിക്കയും പരീക്ഷാസമയത്തു പിൻവാങ്ങിപ്പോകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
14 മുള്ളിന്നിടയിൽ വീണതോ കേൾക്കുന്നവർ എങ്കിലും പോയി ചിന്തകളാലും ധനത്താലും സംസാരഭോഗങ്ങളാലും ഞെരുങ്ങി പൂർണ്ണമായി ഫലം കൊടുക്കാത്തവരത്രേ.
15 നല്ല മണ്ണിലുള്ളതോ വചനം കേട്ടു ഗുണമുള്ള നല്ല ഹൃദയത്തിൽ സംഗ്രഹിച്ചു ക്ഷമയോടെ ഫലം കൊടുക്കുന്നവർ തന്നേ.

St. Matthew 11: 20- 24
20 Then He began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent:
21 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
22 But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you.
23 And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades; for if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
24 But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you.”

40 You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you.”

Exodus 12:31-40
31 Then he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, “Rise, go out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel. And go, serve the Lord as you have said. 32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and bless me also.”
33 And the Egyptians urged the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste. For they said, “We shall all be dead.” 34 So the people took their dough before it was leavened, having their kneading bowls bound up in their clothes on their shoulders. 35 Now the children of Israel had done according to the word of Moses, and they had asked from the Egyptians articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing. 36 And the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians.
37 Then the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides children.
38 A mixed multitude went up with them also, and flocks and herds—a great deal of livestock.
39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they had brought out of Egypt; for it was not leavened, because they were driven out of Egypt and could not wait, nor had they prepared provisions for themselves.
40 Now the sojourn of the children of Israel who lived in Egypt was four hundred and thirty years.

40 യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ മിസ്രയീമിൽ കഴിച്ച പരദേശവാസം നാനൂറ്റി മുപ്പതു സംവത്സരമായിരുന്നു.
Joshua 5:9-12
9 Then the Lord said to Joshua, “This day I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.” Therefore the name of the place is called Gilgal[a] to this day.
10 Now the children of Israel camped in Gilgal, and kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the month at twilight on the plains of Jericho.
11 And they ate of the produce of the land on the day after the Passover, unleavened bread and parched grain, on the very same day.
12 Then the manna ceased on the day after they had eaten the produce of the land; and the children of Israel no longer had manna, but they ate the food of the land of Canaan that year.

Jeremiah 29:10-16
10 For thus says the Lord: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place.
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
14 I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.
15 Because you have said, “The Lord has raised up prophets for us in Babylon”
16 therefore thus says the Lord concerning the king who sits on the throne of David, concerning all the people who dwell in this city, and concerning your brethren who have not gone out with you into captivity

Ministering at Berea
10 Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more [a]fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.
12 Therefore many of them believed, and also not a few of the Greeks, prominent women as well as men.
13 But when the Jews from Thessalonica learned that the word of God was preached by Paul at Berea, they came there also and stirred up the crowds.
14 Then immediately the brethren sent Paul away, to go to the sea; but both Silas and Timothy remained there.
15 So those who conducted Paul brought him to Athens; and receiving a command for Silas and Timothy to come to him with all speed, they departed.

2 Corinthians 5:14-6:10
14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died;
15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,
19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Marks of the Ministry
1 We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.
2 For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you,And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
3 We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed.
4 But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses,
5 in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings;
6 by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by [c]sincere love,
7 by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
8 by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true;
9 as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed;
10 as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

16 ആകയാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ഇന്നുമുതൽ ആരെയും ജഡപ്രകാരം അറിയുന്നില്ല; ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ ജഡപ്രകാരം അറിഞ്ഞു എങ്കിലും ഇനിമേൽ അങ്ങനെ അറിയുന്നില്ല.
17 ഒരുത്തൻ ക്രിസ്തുവിലായാൽ അവൻ പുതിയ സൃഷ്ടി ആകുന്നു; പഴയതു കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയി, ഇതാ, അതു പുതുതായി തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
18 അതിന്നൊക്കെയും ദൈവം തന്നേ കാരണഭൂതൻ; അവൻ നമ്മെ ക്രിസ്തുമൂലം തന്നോടു നിരപ്പിച്ചു, നിരപ്പിന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
19 ദൈവം ലോകത്തിന്നു ലംഘനങ്ങളെ കണക്കിടാതെ ലോകത്തെ ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ തന്നോടു നിരപ്പിച്ചു പോന്നു. ഈ നിരപ്പിന്റെ വചനം ഞങ്ങളുടെ പക്കൽ ഭരമേല്പിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.
20 ആകയാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നു വേണ്ടി സ്ഥാനാപതികളായി ദൈവത്തോടു നിരന്നു കൊൾവിൻ എന്നു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നു പകരം അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; അതു ദൈവം ഞങ്ങൾ മുഖാന്തരം പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ആകുന്നു.
21 പാപം അറിയാത്തവനെ, നാം അവനിൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നീതി ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു, അവൻ നമുക്കു വേണ്ടി പാപം ആക്കി.
1 നിങ്ങൾക്കു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൃപ ലഭിച്ചതു വ്യർത്ഥമായിത്തീരരുതു എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ സഹപ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരായി നിങ്ങളെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
2 “പ്രസാദകാലത്തു ഞാൻ നിനക്കു ഉത്തരം അരുളി; രക്ഷാദിവസത്തിൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സഹായിച്ചു” എന്നു അവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുവല്ലോ. ഇപ്പോൾ ആകുന്നു സുപ്രസാദകാലം; ഇപ്പോൾ ആകുന്നു രക്ഷാദിവസം.
3 ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കു ആക്ഷേപം വരാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ ഒന്നിലും ഇടർച്ചെക്കു ഹേതു കൊടുക്കാതെ സകലത്തിലും ഞങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ
4 ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷകന്മാരായി കാണിക്കുന്നു; ബഹുസഹിഷ്ണത, കഷ്ടം, ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടു, സങ്കടം, തല്ലു,
5 തടവു, കലഹം, അദ്ധ്വാനം, ഉറക്കിളെപ്പു, പട്ടിണി, നിർമ്മലത, പരിജ്ഞാനം,
6 ദീർഘക്ഷമ, ദയ, പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു, നിർവ്യാജസ്നേഹം, സത്യവചനം, ദൈവശക്തി
7 എന്നിവയിലും ഇടത്തും വലത്തും നീതിയുടെ ആയുധങ്ങൾ ധരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു
8 മാനാപമാനങ്ങളും ദുഷ്കീർത്തിസൽക്കീർത്തികളും അനുഭവിച്ചും ചതിയന്മാരെന്നിട്ടും സത്യവാന്മാർ,
9 ആരും അറിയാത്തവരെന്നിട്ടും എല്ലാവരും നല്ലവണ്ണം അറിയുന്നവർ, മരിക്കുന്നവരെന്നിട്ടും ഇതാ, ഞങ്ങൾ ജീവിക്കുന്നു; ശിക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവരെന്നിട്ടും കൊല്ലപ്പെടാത്തവർ;
10 ദുഃഖിതരെങ്കിലും എപ്പോഴും സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നവർ; ദരിദ്രരെങ്കിലും പലരെയും സമ്പന്നർ ആക്കുന്നവർ; ഒന്നും ഇല്ലാത്തവർ എങ്കിലും എല്ലാം കൈവശമുള്ളവരായിത്തന്നേ.
John 6:26-35
26 Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled.
27 Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”
28 Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”
29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
30 Therefore they said to Him, “What sign will You perform then, that we may see it and believe You? What work will You do?
31 Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’ ”
32 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven.
33 For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
34 Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.”
35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
യോഹന്നാൻ 6:26-35
26 അതിന്നു യേശു: ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ അടയാളം കണ്ടതുകൊണ്ടല്ല, അപ്പം തിന്നു തൃപ്തരായതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ എന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതു.
27 നശിച്ചുപോകുന്ന ആഹാരത്തിന്നായിട്ടല്ല, നിത്യജീവങ്കലേക്കു നിലനില്ക്കുന്ന ആഹാരത്തിന്നായിട്ടു തന്നേ പ്രവർത്തിപ്പിൻ; അതു മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു തരും. അവനെ പിതാവായ ദൈവം മുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
28 അവർ അവനോടു: ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദമുള്ള പ്രവൃത്തികളെ പ്രവർത്തിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
29 യേശു അവരോടു: ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദമുള്ള പ്രവൃത്തി അവൻ അയച്ചവനിൽ നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നതത്രേ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
30 അവർ അവനോടു: ഞങ്ങൾ കണ്ടു നിന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ എന്തു അടയാളം ചെയ്യുന്നു? എന്തു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു?
31 നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ മന്നാ തിന്നു; അവർക്കു തിന്നുവാൻ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്നു അപ്പം കൊടുത്തു എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
32 യേശു അവരോടു: ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ള അപ്പം മോശെയല്ല നിങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നതു, എന്റെ പിതാവത്രേ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ള സാക്ഷാൽ അപ്പം നിങ്ങൾക്കു തരുന്നതു.
33 ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അപ്പമോ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്നു ലോകത്തിന്നു ജീവനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നതു ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
34 അവർ അവനോടു: കർത്താവേ, ഈ അപ്പം എപ്പോഴും ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തരേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
35 യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞാൻ ജീവന്റെ അപ്പം ആകുന്നു; എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നവന്നു വിശക്കയില്ല; എന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു ഒരുനാളും ദാഹിക്കയുമില്ല.
