Marth Mariam Vanitha Samajam stands as the women’s division of the Malankara Orthodox Church of India, a pivotal spiritual organization dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth of all female members. Established in 1928 under the guidance of late Rev M.C. Kuriakose Ramban, K.M. Annamma, and other visionaries, its motto “Pray, Act, and Shine” resonates across the Church’s 30 dioceses. Named in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, whom they venerate as their intercessor, it boasts a presence in every parish.

Guided by a central committee, this spiritual organization orchestrates an array of programs, including conferences, retreats, and seminars at both diocesan and parish levels, fostering the spiritual enrichment of its female members.

ACTIVITIES / GOALS

The primary aim of Martha Mariam Samajam is to foster the spiritual growth of women within our church community. Our monthly prayer meetings, Bible studies, and liturgical discussions serve as vital components in this journey toward spiritual fulfillment in our daily lives. We wholeheartedly welcome the participation of all women in the life of MMVS.

In addition to these core activities, MMVS coordinates various charitable endeavors, fundraising events, conferences, retreats, and outings to promote active engagement and fellowship among women and their families.

MMVS is dedicated to enhancing spiritual practices, such as observing Lent, nurturing children with a commitment to Christ, and fostering adherence to other religious traditions.
